The event brought together life cycle assessment (LCA) practitioners and users of the openLCA software from industry, academia, and public institutions, offering a key platform for exchanging knowledge on sustainability assessment methods and applications.<\/p>\n<p>Our partners from GreenDelta GmbH represented the project at the event, contributing to the dissemination of the Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment (LCSA) being carried out within EasyDC-FOS. This assessment compares the new HVDC cable system under development with conventional alternatives, evaluating their environmental, social, and economic performance. The results aim to provide decision-makers with concrete recommendations to optimise the design, manufacturing, and deployment of innovative cable technologies.<\/p>\n<p>As part of their role in the project, GreenDelta is also developing a regulatory framework to support the future deployment of next-generation HVDC cables.
