Stakeholder Advisory Board for the European project EasyDC-FOS was held on 11 September. The session was organised and moderated by BASQUENERGY Cluster, in collaboration with the project consortium partners, and brought together representatives from the entities that form part of the Advisory Board: Red El\u00e9ctrica, TenneT, Amprion, EDP Redes Espa\u00f1a, and DOFI (Danish Optical Fiber Innovation).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\" id=\"style-css-av-m6osptnk-c6bfb2773192894812453d5e86e95acd\">\n#top .av_textblock_section.av-m6osptnk-c6bfb2773192894812453d5e86e95acd .avia_textblock{\nfont-size:15px;\ncolor:#444444;\n}\n<\/style>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-m6osptnk-c6bfb2773192894812453d5e86e95acd '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock av_inherit_color'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>The meeting served as an opportunity for introduction and initial exchange between the parties, providing the Advisory Board with a detailed overview of the project and the work carried out during its first year of implementation. It also enabled the initiation of a dialogue aimed at identifying common interests and potential areas of collaboration between the technology developers and the Advisory Board members, with the objective of enhancing the relevance and impact of the proposed developments.<\/p>\n<p>The EasyDC-FOS Advisory Board is composed of representatives from Red El\u00e9ctrica, TenneT, Amprion, DOFI and EDP Redes Espa\u00f1a. Throughout the constitution process, priority was given to the participation of Transmission System Operators (TSOs), as they are expected to be the primary end-users of the new HVDC cable technologies and monitoring systems being developed within the project framework.<\/p>\n<p>The role of the Advisory Board as a consultative body within the project is essential in providing strategic guidance and technical advice to the consortium. Its involvement is key to ensuring that the project outcomes address the priorities of the European electricity system in achieving the energy transition objectives, and, in particular, the needs of its end users.<\/p>\n<p>During the session, Advisory Board members expressed strong interest in the innovative developments being carried out within the project, especially those related to fibre optic-based sensors capable of monitoring very long cable lengths (>125 km).<\/p>\n<p>This first meeting marks a milestone in the stakeholder engagement process of the EasyDC-FOS project, laying the groundwork for a robust collaboration between industry and technology.
