project took part in the first session in the CABLEGNOSIS webinar series titled <em>&#8220;Introducing the Sister Projects on Cables&#8221;<\/em>, an online event that brought together four Horizon Europe projects working on innovative technologies for the future of Europe&#8217;s electricity grid: CABLEGNOSIS, DCDYNAMIC, EasyDC-FOS and SCARLET.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\" id=\"style-css-av-m6osptnk-39dbdb76d4d8f30e85f0f270f3ba5dce\">\n#top .av_textblock_section.av-m6osptnk-39dbdb76d4d8f30e85f0f270f3ba5dce Christodoulou, Associate Professor at the National Technical University of Athens and CABLEGNOSIS Project Coordinator. These projects are advancing key technologies for dynamic HVDC cable systems, fibre-optic monitoring solutions, and high-power superconducting cables.<\/p>\n<p>Representing EasyDC-FOS, Project Coordinator Manuel Mu\u00f1oz, Managing Director of RDT Lumiker, presented the project&#8217;s vision, objectives and ongoing work towards enabling the widespread deployment of HVDC-based power systems through highly efficient cable and fibre optic monitoring solutions. The presentation highlighted the project approach to improving the reliability, monitoring and operation of next-generation HVDC cable infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>During the webinar, each project introduced its scope, technological focus, key challenges and current progress, providing participants with a comprehensive overview of complementary research activities being developed across Europe.<\/p>\n<p>For EasyDC-FOS, the webinar represented a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge with sister projects addressing related technological challenges. The session helped identify common research priorities, potential synergies and opportunities for future collaboration, laying the foundations for closer cooperation throughout the lifetime of the projects.<\/p>\n<p>Strengthening links between Horizon Europe initiatives is essential to maximise the impact of research and innovation activities.
