EasyDC-FOS brings HVDC innovation to Europe’s main wind energy event

During WindEurope 2026, held from 21 to 23 April in Madrid, the project was featured at the BASQUENERGY Cluster stand, highlighting the role of HVDC technologies in offshore wind integration and future interconnected power systems.

The EasyDC-FOS project was present at the WindEurope Annual Event 2026, held from 21 to 23 April 2026 in Madrid. This event is one of the leading gatherings of the European wind energy sector, bringing together key stakeholders across the entire value chain, including developers, manufacturers, grid operators and research organisations. In this context, HVDC technologies play a key role in enabling the large-scale integration of offshore wind energy into the European grid.

The project was showcased within the stand of the BASQUENERGY Cluster, which formed part of a joint pavilion representing companies and organisations from across the Basque wind energy value chain. EasyDC-FOS was featured through the distribution of project brochures, its inclusion in the visual materials displayed at the stand, and its presence in the catalogue of R&D projects related to wind energy in the Basque Country.

This participation contributed to positioning EasyDC-FOS within a key industrial ecosystem, highlighting the relevance of HVDC cable technologies for the deployment of offshore wind and the future development of interconnected European energy systems. It also supported the project’s visibility among relevant stakeholders and potential end-users in the renewable energy sector.
