EasyDC-FOS Showcased at IPF Offshore Wind 2025 in Virginia Beach
The EasyDC-FOS project was showcased at the IPF Offshore Wind 2025 conference, held in Virginia Beach from 28 April to 1 May. As one of the leading offshore wind events in North America, IPF brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators from across the globe to explore the latest trends and solutions driving the clean energy transition.
The project was featured at the “Offshore Wind Energy Basque Country” pavilion, coordinated by the Basque Energy Cluster. To support the communication efforts, the Cluster prepared visual materials that summarised the project’s main objectives and technological scope, ensuring that attendees visiting the stand could easily learn about EasyDC-FOS and its contribution to next-generation HVDC cable systems.
EasyDC-FOS aims to develop high-performance HVDC cables with integrated monitoring systems to enhance the efficiency and security of long-distance electricity transmission—essential for connecting offshore wind farms to the grid. By participating in IPF 2025, the project gained international visibility in a strategic market and highlighted the relevance of European R&D in advancing offshore wind infrastructure.
IPF Offshore Wind serves as a global platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and collaboration across the offshore wind value chain. EasyDC-FOS’s presence at the event reinforced its positioning within the international innovation landscape and contributed to strengthening ties with key stakeholders in the sector. The consortium is proud to have participated and will continue to engage in international events to share its progress and build connections supporting the energy transition.
